Session 2: 6.30-8pm.
Straight after the disappointing end to session 1, wasn't really thinking
about going for another one after high tide. But on the way back from
Shoreham I stopped off at Hove Lagoon to have a gander at the freewave
comp, and unexpectantly bumped into Adam and Sam who'd come down for the
day from Soton to compete. Chatting with them and watching them out sailing
(and getting munched in the shorebreak, ha ha!) got me back in the mood for
another sail.
So quick trip to Asda then back home to check wind is still good and ja
wohl we're on.
So a mellow hour and a half sailing off King Alfreds, nothing special, just
out on the 5.9 and nicely powered up all the time. Very enjoyable. Again
the session gets a star knocked off it though, almost 4 stars, but 1) only
5.9 weather so wasn't all that exciting, and 2) when rigging up 3 kids
cycled by and one of the B*ST*RDS rode straight over my board, C*CK.
Fortunately any damage appears to be only superficial, but if I'd caught
hold of him his bike would be in bits and he would be crying home to mummy.
TW*T.
